Say Good Bye to the Blimp

  Say hello to the Goodyear semi-rigid airship! This is awesome news folks. Airships are making a comeback. When I was collecting stamps and postcards, airships were my #1 thematic collection.  Yes.

    Cool! I've been a huge fan of blimps and airships for as long as I can remember. I'm glad they are filling it with helium still, and not going back to hydrogen!

      I worked on B-52s, my brother worked on F-15s, rescue helicopters, and NASA space shuttles, but it's airships that excite me!

    As a kid, I saw too may clips of the Hindenburg in flames. I was afraid of them for years after. Living in Dallas, there was always a blimp over the Cotton Bowl covering the game. It became a very cool thing to see one circling the city each year.

      That sounds like fun. I think it was over Wrigley when the Cubs won the pennant. -It's was dark out, so all we could see was a big shadow with lights floating around overhead.
